My family is most important to me. I spend most of my free time with my grandchildren and my little nephew. I love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and swimming. I am also very active in a Free Clinic which I helped establish in a very rural area of Virginia.
Tina M. Rutt is a highly skilled Adult Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Geriatrics. Tina had 20+ years of experience in geriatrics prior to obtaining her nurse practitioner degree. She spends most of her days consulting with patients as well as their families, nursing staff, social workers, therapists, and pharmacists.
Ms. Rutt completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville Tennessee. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. She also has an Associate Degree in Nursing and held a Vocational license in Nursing.
She enjoys working with the geriatric population, both acute and long-term care patients. Tina is comfortable speaking about the end of life issues and choices in a clear but compassionate way.
Ms. Rutt works closely with Hospice and Palliative care agencies in order to provide pain management and comfort care at the end of life to her patients.
Working with the geriatric population is Ms. Rutt’s passion. She continues to further her education in geriatrics by attending geriatric conferences and by being a member of the Geriatric Society of Virginia.
